Leaving Asia... At Last!
Today I pulled my armies out of Asia. They weren't keen on it, as you can imagine, but I have a reputation to keep up, and Asia just wasn't the right place for them to be. It was starting to look bad. All those burnings. Yikes. Anyway, so I sat them down, all four-hundred-thousand of them, power-armor still on, and we had a nice chat (semantically, as it were). They talked about their feelings. I bought them mugs of Horlicks with some marshmallows in. (Yes, Horlicks can still be found in the 28th century. The pattern was recently rediscovered.)
Anyway, after an hour or so, they were much cooler about it. We did hugs, mostly in a kind of semantic/hierarchical I hug the generals, they hug their direct reports, etc, kind of way and they started packing up their stuff. Next week I'm having them invade Mars, which should entail a lot less hassle, even if the transport costs are likely to be a little tricky.
